BEEMS Programme
Bathymetric Surveys
Project Description

Throughout 2014 and 2015 we were contracted by Cefas to undertake a series of bathymetric and geophysical surveys in the vicinity of Sizewell nuclear power station in support of EDF’s British Energy Estuarine Marine Studies (BEEMS) programme. This involved a number of spring and summer surveys over two years to collect high resolution bathymetric data of shoaling corridors and geophysical data of a local ‘mystery’ wreck.

These surveys were professionally conducted and acquired high-quality data. Ocean Ecology responded to changing requirements during fieldwork and adaptability is one of their strengths. Ocean Ecology demonstrated high professional standards and maintained good contact throughout preparations, fieldwork and subsequent reporting. Reporting was delivered promptly and was of a high standard.
