Our work encompasses the entire marine environment
We operate five workboat-coded survey vessels:
- Argyll Explorer
- Seren Las
- Coastal Surveyor
- Pagrus
- Inshore Surveyor
To ensure flexibility and efficiency, we use our own vessels and third-party charters, selected for the demands of each project.
For challenging environments, like intertidal zones and estuaries, we use our fleet of commercial hovercraft specifically adapted to navigate shallow environments.
Our vessels and hovercrafts are available for charter with skippers, pilots and crews.
Argyll Explorer
The Argyll Explorer, an 11.7 m MCA Category 2 survey catamaran, was retrofitted in 2022. With twin engines and a 5.5 m beam, it offers outstanding stability and manoeuvrability for survey operations.
Seren Las
The 10.0 m MCA Category 2 survey vessel Seren Las has been refitted to enhance its capabilities, providing a versatile and reliable platform for coastal and nearshore survey operations.
Coastal Surveyor
The Coastal Surveyor, a 7.9 m Cheetah Marine catamaran, is purpose-built for a range of nearshore surveys. Its compact, road transportable design enable rapid mobilisation to any location across the UK.
Pagrus
Pagrus is a well-equipped 6.4 m, twin engine, MCA category 3 workboat licensed for 6 people. It is capable of working up to 20 miles from a safe haven as well as being suitable for estuary or river work.
Inshore Surveyor
Inshore Surveyor is a 5.35 m MCA Cat 4 inflatable boat, trailed to sites by a van. She is usually powered by a Yamaha 25 Hp outboard motor with a 5 Hp auxiliary. Where a petrol outboard is not suitable, she can be powered by a small electric outboard (c. 2 Hp).
Two commercial hovercrafts
Our two commercial hovercrafts are designed for intertidal surveys, offering unmatched access to shallow, sensitive areas. Lightweight and versatile, they ensure efficient data collection in challenging environments.
