These roles will be based in the UK at our Oban or Gloucester offices.
SEABED IMAGERY ANALYSTS
Successful applicants will be responsible for the analysis, interpretation and reporting of seabed imagery data collected from various surveys. The role involves using advanced imaging technologies and software to assess seabed characteristics, identify geological and biological features.
The following will be essential to be considered for this post:
• A clear and demonstrable passion for marine science;
• A conscientious and enthusiastic attitude;
• An appreciation of the need to work to tight timeframes within a commercial setting;
• A BSc degree in marine biology (or similar marine related discipline).
• Demonstrable knowledge of North East Atlantic benthic species identification.
Other desirable skills/experience include:
• Experience in analysis and interpretation of seabed imagery;
• Knowledge/understanding of UK seabed habitats;
• Knowledge of marine habitat/species regulations in the UK and further afield;
• Experience in identification of macrobenthic species from deepwater, temperate, tropical, sub-tropical and/or deep-water environments.
