sustainability
Reducing our impact on the planet, ethical business practices and the welfare of both our staff and the communities in which we operate, all underpin our business strategy
sustainability
Building a business that's fit for all our futures
Our approach embraces the needs of the environment, society and sound governance. Key features include:
Race to Zero
We have taken the Race to Zero pledge via the Network Net Zero Community. The main goals of this are for the company to achieve a 50% net reduction in greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and net zero emissions by 2050, based on scientific targets set out by the UNFCCC.
Reducing consumption
We are committed to reducing our consumption of energy and other resources.
This includes the process of ‘greening’ our vessels to reduce fuel consumption, reducing our use of water and reducing our use of other consumables, such as paper and ink cartridges.
Sustainable purchasing
We have sustainable purchasing procedures in place, including a product procurement policy and a supplier procurement policy.
We segregate recyclable materials in all our offices and use responsible contractors for the collection and disposal of both generic commercial waste and hazardous waste.
