OE Awarded Triple QHSE ISO Certification

January 12, 2025

Our commitment to QHSE excellence

We are proud to announce we have been awarded ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 certification following audits of our Quality, Health and Safety and Environment (QHSE) Management Systems.

After a company-wide implementation and certification process, we are now certified to be working fully in accordance with the established international standards in relation to Quality, Health and Safety and Environment.

To become ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 compliant, we have been independently assessed by Simply Certification on behalf of one of the UK’s leading UKAS accredited certification bodies, Interface NRM, against internationally recognised standards demonstrating our commitment to QHSE assurance.

As an ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 certified company, we are committed to following the requirements, specifications, guidelines and characteristics set forth by this certification. Additionally, the certification means the provision of our leading marine survey, technical and advisory services are delivered to safe, reliable, and qualifiable international standards.

In order to maintain our ISO certification, we are committed to continual improvement and development, in combination with annual external surveillance audits. This commitment will ensure that we have the correct processes and systems in place to meet our client’s needs and maintain the high QHSE standards that they have come to expect.

The health and safety of our personnel and the conservation of the environment has, and always will, underpin all of our operations. I’m therefore thrilled that this ethos, alongside our commitment to working to the highest quality standards, is now formally recognised through our QHSE ISO certification. I’d like to thank our Operations Manager Christopher Hulley, and external consultant Robyn Black of RJB Consultancy for their tireless efforts in helping the business take this major step forward.

Gary Robinson
Operations Director, Ocean Ecology

Achieving ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 certification solidifies our reputation for QHSE excellence and further highlights our industry-leading standards already demonstrated through our ‘Green Flag Status’ from Avetta, Achilles UVDB registration, and participation in the NE Atlantic Marine Biological Analytical Quality Control (NMBAQC) scheme.

If you would like to learn more about our management systems or receive copies of our ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 certificates then please contact our Operations Manager, Christopher Hulley (chris.hulley@ocean-ecology.com).
