Ocean Ecology has joined the Workboat Association, aligning with its commitment to improving trade skills and promoting safety at sea.
The association provides important industry representation, serving as a voice for those operating small workboats and facilitating engagement with regulatory bodies and industry stakeholders. By becoming a member, Ocean Ecology gains access to a network of experts, training resources and technical advice.

Head of Survey Ashley Kirby (pictured) said: “We are always focused on enhancing our safety and operational efficiency and joining the Workboat Association seemed an obvious progression for us. Their training resources, particularly in safety and regulatory compliance, will greatly benefit our vessel teams and further strengthen our practices.

“Being part of the association allows us to contribute to industry discussions and workgroups on key issues that matter to us. Having a platform to influence developments and share knowledge is invaluable.
“With more than 200 members across the UK, the Workboat Association is a fantastic resource. The collective knowledge within the network means that when we face challenges, there’s a strong likelihood that someone in the association can provide insight or solutions.”
